Respect to Bradley, but there is no doubt he uses that head to his advantage

Come on people. Watch his fights, watch the replays. The guys #1 combo is a headbutt followed by a right hook.

At one point against Alexander, Bradley's corner said to him, "Head and then the body". In my head, I was wondering if they were referring to the headbutt that Bradley likes to start his combinations with.

Devon Alexander is a lefty, but when in the past have you seen him clash heads like this? It is Bradley. Whether he knows it or not, he uses that head to his advantage. He charges in head first, creates the contact, and then follows with punches.

I have yet to see a single one of his headbutts look intentional. He's short, he has stubby arms, he tucks his chin (like a good fighter is suppose to), and he throws looping punches. It'll happen that way.

Truthfully, there r few fighters out there that DON'T headbutt. The only difference is some people, for some reason, seem to have a really hard head that really hurts their opponent. Mosley for example has caused numerous headbutts with his style, I even believe he had a NC for one. And he's done it a lot. But he's not known for his headbutts like Holyfield and Bradley becuz they have really hard heads. Miguel Cotto is another but what usually happens is HE's the one that ends up being cut from it. It happens in boxing. Some just do it better than others.

Quote of the weekend from Alexander: "He has a big head, and it hurts."

i place the blame squarely on kevin cunningham. you know what you're fighting. Where was the uppercut when bradley was coming in? Where was the sidestep? Why was he constantly lunging in to hold a guy that has a huge head that fights conventional when you're a southpaw. Why is he trying to hold a 5'6 guy that doesn't have the power to blast you out anyway?

Alexander attempted an uppercut or two, but both failed. Alexander is primarily a 1-2 fighter with the odd right hook.

Alexander couldn't really sidestep. Bradley was effectively cutting the ring off and was keeping his lead outside of Alexander's, as a result Alexander was forced to move mostly in one direction that Bradley could anticipate or be forced to clinch in order to save himself from getting work over on the inside when he got trapped and couldn't control range. Alexander should've adapted, but didn't (or couldn't)

Cunnigham was pretty poor though, you're right about that. He was telling Alexander that he was doing well.

I have watched a lot of Bradley's fights and I don't think he butts on purpose. He does the same thing Holyfield and Tyson used to do, come in very aggressive.

Especially when you are fighting a lefty vs righty, it happens. Both men were coming in straight ahead and that's going to result in head butts.

I also think since Bradley is almost always the smaller man, you get that with smaller fighters.

I don't think Bradley is dirty, it's just his size and style that make that happen.

timmeh's headbutts aren't intentional, but when he punches with his head down and that's dangerous. the refs need to start taking points away to stop him from doing that.
