Since Pavlik hadn't shown anything post Hopkins to be able to beat a fighter like P-Will, I think the Martinez fights made people forget how P-Will was perceived at the time.

Pre Hopkins, Pavlik had a lot of hype going for him. Post Hopkins the hype fell off and he didn't look as good as he had in the passed fighting mediocre fighters. And, at that time especially on here the hype for P-Will was full stream ahead. That general consensus here was with P-Will status combined with Pavlik not being the same after B-Hop. That it would be P-Will>Pavlik.
