    krikya360.com has been advised that veteran Emanuel Augustus (38-33) will step in for the injured Tim Coleman (18-1-1) to face Detroit's undefeated Vernon Paris (23-0) on January 29th in Pontiac, MI on the undercard of the Tim Bradley versus Devon Alexander junior welterweight super fight. The fight will be at a catchweight of 143 pounds.

    Although I was really looking forward to Coleman/Paris, this ain't too shabby either! James De la Rosa is supposed to return to action on the card but boxrec still doesn't have his opponent. I wonder if he will be fighting or not.

      If Vernon can stay out of trouble, he IS the future of boxing. These Detroit fighters definitely understand the sweet science and Vernon is no exception. He will be champion one day soon.

          Yeah, I'm sad to say it but Augustus should retire. He last looked good when he beat Figueroa. I'm a big fan but now I just watch some of his fights on espn classic.

            Damn... man I was really looking forward to that. But I guess Vernon needs a test one way or another, maybe Agustus can test him

                Augustus was just 'tweeting' the other day that he wanted to get a fight; it sounds like he got his wish.
