It's too bad promoters/fighters/etc. cant see the long term investment of having the fight on CBS instead of Showtime. I'm sure they could still figure out a way to get a pretty decent paycheck with sponsors, etc.

Now THAT would be groundbreaking news.

Pac vs Mosley on primetime CBS.

Pacquiao originally agreed to Mayweather's name going first. That won't be an issue.

The main sticking points will be the purse split, and now which network will own the event.

If Pacquiao/Mosley 24/7 is on CBS and by God's good grace it lands him ppv buys around 1.8.. Maybe he'll be ready to say he wants his name first or further concessions if not. However I doubt they'd let such a silly issue block a mega fight.

          Pacquiao's name will be first...but only for 14 days...there's a 14day cut off

Pac/May 24/7 would be great. Some good dog eating jokes and Roach calling them women beaters for sure.

              1.4M minimum or it's a colossal failure.

i dont get this, why would it be on primetime cbs??? who watches primetime cbs???

not to mention the fact that it would have to be seriously scaled back for being on non-cable tv. its a bad idea really and im not sure that it will have the effect they are hoping for.

think about it, ppl who watch non cable tv typically dont want to pay for cable.

                  Viewership#s: HBO = 28 million, CBS = 125 million. Grab a calculator.

Promoters have no foresight. They are all about NOW.

That fight would probably draw 20-25M viewers if it were on CBS.
