Why are you calling him a moron? His thought process is right.

With TR, Shane is only making money as long as he fights (one fight?). With GBP, Shane would make money in perpetuity. Remember that Shane was an equity partner in the 2nd (1st?) biggest promotional company.

Which has the higher NPV:

a) $5 million check one time
b) $1 million annually in perpetuity

How will Shane make money when he is 45, 50, 55? Remember, at GBP, Shane held the position as VP of fighter development. He could have parlayed that into an annual income stream.

Margarito didn't take a dive, he's just a bum. He had good reason not to finish that fight, but I don't think he even considered that as an option.
