38 year old Mosley = 39 year old Mosley

Can we all agree that the Mosley Pac is going to fight is still just as shot as the Mosley PBF faced? Or are some people going to argue that beating a 38 year old Mosley is a career defining win, while beating a 39 year old Mosley is the same as beating Freddy Hernandez? That the reason Mosley looked so bad is because PBF was so superior, but the reason he will look bad against Pac is because he turned 39.

Let's all give credit to PBF for taking the fight, but realize that the Shane he faced turned out to be a shell of his former self after 18 months out of the ring.

Just watched the Mayweather Marquez fight. Marquez looked like a shell of himself also. But he didn't against Katsidis. You can't judge fighters based on how they competed against Floyd because he fights as if he was programmed by a computer. But Shane got close to Mora many times and did very little to nothing. Either Floyd took the last bit of Shane's greatness in their fight, Mora was simply a difficult opponent, Shane is shot, or a combination of all three. The point is that Shane does not look good.

People overlook the psychological factors going into a match.

Look at football, Chelsea were beating up Premiership teams left right and centre, Liverpool cracked their chin then they followed up with pitiful performances.

You can look at life, when people get fired it effects their performances in other aspects of life. If people fail an exam they feel ****** etc.

Point I'm making is going into the Mayweather fight he was previously the underdog who triumphed, he'd have the belief that he was on a high and what not. Going into the Pacquiao fight he knows his previous performances were an embarrassment, the belief that he's a guy proves people wrong will not be there.

Explain how Floyd's weight advantage gave him an edge in that fight.

I don't think you realise Mosley could have died when he fought Floyd.

It's extremly dangerous to come back and fight after such a long lay off, only the greats can do it.

Wonder if jumping 2 weight classes had anything to do with it?
How do you think a 37 year old Floyd would look against say present Martinez at 160?

And Shane is done, has nothing to do with opponents. The man tires out and starts gasping for air after 3 rounds. He was throwing pitty pat punches at Mora with nothing behind them, no speed or power.
