but If anybody's dirty enough to spin this and make it look like pac has 10 titles, it's Arum.
The titles are just there for promotion of his fight. But it is how Pac goes up in weight and has fought elite fighters that makes it special for his legacy.. Those people who are arguing about belts as if it means something are idiots.. I actually put more stock on him being the only 4 time lineal champ because that is legitimate..
The weight definitions are UPPER LIMITS.
You have to be 160 and BELOW to qualify for a MW fight.
If fighters come in at 154, it's legit for both JMW and MW contests.
If they come in at 155, the JMW title is automatically out of the picture.
Sure they are but if you can't come in at the upper limit it's not a MW fight is it? If you say the upper limit should be 154, then that's the limit. JMW, not MW.
Pac's reign and 'record' breaking is already poor form enough. No one wants more of the same. At least when Leonard had that ridiculous farce of a fight with LaLonde it was for a real title with a guy that was a champion and ranked, however, we don't need more of what Pac keeps doing.
There should either be one divisional title on the line if you are fighting at a certain limit, or none. Winning vacant titles in catchweight fights against unranked contenders with cheating records and coming off horrible KO losses is bad enough, we don't need another tragic disintegration of boxing's rules.
People were whinging enough about Mayweather asking for more testing, and yet Pac and his people are making more pathetic rules and negotiating crap than that bastard ever has. The hypocrisy is as mind numbing as it is hilarious and it's really ****ing hilarious.
