This is a ridiculous argument. Aside from Floyd, there are no slick African-American boxers at the top level in Pacquiao's weight division and he's been trying to make that fight. Mosely slick? Fail. Berto slick? Fail. Fast maybe, but not slick and defensive. The only other argument that can be made is maybe not fighting Guzman a few years ago before he fell apart. But then again, he's not really an African American. Other than that, he's fought all the top guys in the weight divisions he's gone through, which is more than you can say for Floyd or BHop (at least at 175). Not Pac's fault that none of those guys were slick African American boxers. I'm of the opinion it'll take more than slick defense to keep Pac off of you, but some pop and stamina and the ability to throw 70 + punches a round as well, which coincidently is something that slick boxers are not known for. On the flipside, why didn't BHop take his own advice and fight Chad Dawson, a slick African American boxer? When you think about it, none of BHop's big wins were against slick African American boxers, unless you include a faded RJJ and a a faded and blown up Winky, they were against Oscar, Tito, and Pavlik. Nard lost to RJJ in his prime, JT (LOL!), and a white boy.

Hopkins - "I mean black fighters from the streets or the inner cities – would be successful,”
one thing bernard forgot to mention about these types of fighters is that they don't have any heart and are afraid to get hit. they lack warrior spirit of guys like pacquiao and alot of latino fighters. mayweather, dawson, dirrell, jacobs alexander, peterson.
mayweather will catch manny coming in sometimes with counter punches but he will not be catching him in the middle of combinations and manny's 3rd, 4th and 5th punchs like bernard said. he will also use a high guard instead of his usual D because of manny being lefthanded. he had enough trouble with mental midget judah early on. manny will eat him alive.

Seven months off his last win in Las Vegas and several weeks from his next test north of the border, the imminent senior citizen still manages to make news with his mouth.
By alleging pound-for-pound phenom Manny Pacquiao is undeserving of consensus No. 1 status because he hasn’t fought a top-flight black opponent, Hopkins regained in a single sound bite the relevance he’d apparently craved since embarrassing Roy Jones Jr. last April.
“Floyd Mayweather would beat Manny Pacquiao because the styles of African-American fighters – and I mean black fighters from the streets or the inner cities – would be successful,” he said. “I think Floyd Mayweather would pot-shot Pacquiao and bust him up in between the four to five punches that Pacquiao throws, and then set him up later on down the line.
“Maybe I'm biased because I'm black, but I think that this is what is said at people's homes and around the dinner table among black boxing fans and fighters. Most of them won't say it (in public) because they're not being real and they don't have the balls to say it.” [Click Here To Read More]

I'm sick and tired of this article, to tell you the truth the best black fighter avoids Pacquiao. The next best has been stopped badly. Shut your mouth nigg##.

I was feeling the article until the Tim Bradley diss. Whats Bradley gotta do to get respect? The guy fights everybody and the fact he is taking on Alexander next is proof. Bradley could have easily avoided him but is risking it all against him. He wants 2 get Kahn in there also. He's a really versatile fighter who has shown he can win in several different ways. If Manny fought Bradley it would be a legit win. Lets face it Bradley is a major problem. He might have been green when he beat Witter, but now he's dispatched of Holt & Peterson & was taking Campbell to the cleaners b4 that fight got stopped. If he's able to get by Devon Alexander then he is a legit opponent for manny. I'd pay 2 see that and the only Pac fight I've bought is the Cotto fight. If Pac doesn't wanna fight Bradley he should atleast take on Berto and give us that firework fight. That would be a fun action packed ride while it lasts.
