I think that Hamed's biggest flaw was that he began to believe his own hype and I noticed that once he began to believe his own hype it left him open for the beat down that he took at the hands of Barrera.

His legacy is that of a great featherweight puncher who never beat a name fighter in their prime. (PAul Ingle should not be brought up).
He in no way what so ever can be consider for the hall of fame, this is a guy that chose to quit on the sport in his supposed prime, therfore his legacy of being a devestating featherwieght is overshadow by the fact that Naz quit, he quit...no ifs and or buts about it, he ****ing quit!

he should go down as one of the fighters with the most ****** entrances of all time, with his flying carpet and all. Does anybody remember that entrance it was so ******, didnt he do this for every sigle one of his fights?

He will be remembered as a great fighter in his era, but not an all-time great. Unfortunately, the name "Hamed" will bring up memories of a fighter who had potential to be a Legend, but lacked the heart and desire to leave it all in the ring.

He will not be remembered as a great fighter, what did he do to be remember as a great fighter?
You have to do more than beat former world champs and club fighters to be considered a great fighter...dont over use the term great, Hamed, great...um no.

He bitched out which is the only thing that stopped him from from going on to become one of the greats at his weight IMO. Even if your reasoning on another thread was true, that he didn't believe he could beat MAB, it's still perfectly possible to have continued a good career without rematching him. He had obviously lost all motivation for the sport by that time.
He was a unique and exceptional fighter who just didn't fulfil his potentional for greatness.

The kid could fight, I will give him that, but once he met his match, it literally and figuratively, "took all the fight out of him." He cannot be considered an all-time great for giving up like that.
