Mayweather used his clout, power, popularity, and leverage to force Marquez to move up to 144 lbs., a catch weight where he knew Marquez wouldn't be able to function as a top 30 fighter.

Here is where Floyd proved he is smarter than Oscar.

Oscar, who is a little bit more honest of a human being than Floyd, honored the catch weight that he IMPOSED on Pacquiao. And it backfired on him because he wound up "draining himself" - a pathetic excuse for getting outboxed if there ever was one.

Floyd NEVER intended to honor his catch weight with Marquez at all. In fact, it was part of his plan never to get down to the catch weight where Marquez wouldn't even be able to function as a top 30 contender. He planned on paying the fines from the start knowing that his "Baby Papa" Elerbe had a secret way to have it refunded to him anyway. In the process he was able to be 166 lbs. on fight night while Marquez was a bloated and very slow pig well above his weight limit and had no chance of even beating a top 30 fighter at that weight.

Yes, Floyd is smarter than Oscar.
