    Sticking to the topic.....

I was quite shocked that night, seeing MAB KO'd by Jones.
MAB was on an unbelievable roll at that time....steamrolling a series of tough foes (including Kennedy McKinney). He had a vicious attack & what appeared to be a first-rate chin.
Jones looked like a shot fighter getting one last shot at the championship level....& I thought with his weak chin, Barrera would have crushed him.

I think MAB underestimated Jones....& attacked too wrecklessly.
He was flailing with his hands down & his head up when he was caught by that bomb.

I didn't write him off back then, because I knew he was still very young & had a great foundation.
It was probably a great thing for him in the long run, because it forced him to refine his style.

You have to admit there is no excuse his next fight should have been against Pacman after he beat Morales. But he chose not the same guys will say Hamed is not a great fighter for not coming back to avenge his loss. I would say this it is better to lose on points than to get beaten till a pulp and getting stopped because u had no answer to what yr opponent threw at u which is the case with Barrea.

After such a bad loss....I had no problem with MAB not fighting Pac. He deserved time to recoup.

Please.....comparing MAB to Hamed is a joke. MAB has overcome adversity, while Hamed cowered in the face of it.

Barrera would have received the same thumping again...I see no reason for a rematch and obviously Barrera doesnt either because Pacquiao hasnt came out of his mouth. I am at ease at it not happening and dont believe it should....There was nothing competitive about it and obviously Barrera has no intentions of doing it either. Perhaps if Pacquiao gets by Morales in December than maybe but I still dont see it happening.

I am much more interested in a fight against Chavez or Marquez for Barrera than another fight with Pacquiao or Morales....There are more fighters out there that are credible other than Pacquiao and Morales at 126-130.
