Too bad that it was also about the time that Pascal started circling and stayed away a bit more. Dawson managed to get to Pascal some but some doesn't help to make it a good fight. Note on the above statement of Dawson "punching a bit more": curious that, in a number of sequences, after unleashing combinations some of which found their mark, Dawson eased up, stepped back and inexplicably stopped. Curious too that after seeing that Pascal was dazed after that 11th round upper cut, Dawson jumped in appearing ready to finish the job; instead, he simply looked at Pascal, did nothing and thus wasted precious seconds. Even lesser fighters would have known that it was a moment not to be wasted. They would have pounced.
Well, Pascal appeared to know. When he had Dawson in trouble he did something about it although the way he went about it left quite a bit to be desired.
