So which is it? He was pushed to the limit or coasted to a 10-2 easy beatdown....you can't have it both ways.
You can be pushed and still win.

IMO Devon won 9-10 rounds on my card. Give or take.

Kotelnik fought his ass off and pressed the fight. He didnt do enough work to win the round. In boxing you score by the round. Not by 20 seconds of the round. Rounds ar 3 Minutes not 20 seconds.

Alexander WORKED the whole fight. He knew Kotelnik would shell up so he kept tagging away. Similar to Pac-Clottey except Kotelnik threw more.

I didn't understand how Kotelnik got the best of Maidana before but I get it now. He's got solid timing and he's rangy and hard to hit for guys with less reach. Amir obviously is one of the most rangy guys in the division. Definitely the most rangy out of the guys who lead the division right now.

Funny how people here say Bradley ducked Alexander, and now all of a sudden Alexander ain't that great...

Everybody has a bad night like this, anyways I had Bradley over Alexander before this fight and still have him winning... the problem is a lot of people here complain just because he looked bad in 1 fight... Just remember May/Castillo Pac/Marquez . If he looks like this in his next 2 or 3 fights he sucks... but lets just say it was just a bad night for now...

Kotelnik is a seasoned pro with high guard and great defence, When he came over here he gave a prime Junior Witter all he could handle and some even score the fight to Kotelnik, Most of his loses have been disputed, Only Khan has beaten him cleanly but even in that fight Khan was struggling and Roach had Khan running away in the end.

Worked on what? Hitting thin air and gloves? Kotelnik got the cleaner and harder shots all fight and the stats show he landed more punches. How the **** did Alexander win?

                No Cellings

you are a moron, you keep saying work work work. Wtf is work when youre punches dont land, just hit thin air. Kotelnik was landing clean effective punches in everyround. 8-4 decision for kotelnik easy. Alexander is just lucky that Kotelnik dont have power or else he would have been ktfo

Man, this fight was far, from a Pac/Clottey scenario. Kotelnik actually threw punches back and was NOT as active as Alexander, I'll give you that. The problem is that what good is having a defense when you get no credit for blocking the opponent's punches? He actually outlanded Alexander when Clottey did not outland Pac. Aggression is only valuable when it is EFFECTIVE and Alexander's aggression was not effective tonight...this is main point here. The reality is that, HBO has picked Alexander as a "superstar"..they want to use him to make money in the future and letting him lose to Kotelnik is not in their plans.

Yep. It is part of the 'system.' The same was going to happen to Pirog, he just managed to get the job done before the decision.
