I do not know much about David Tua I have been a huge boxing fan for about 3 years and never seen one of his fights, but how good was he in his prime? I know Lennox Lewis decisioned him and what would happen a Prime Tua vs. a slightly over the hill Tyson after prison?

Watch his fight with Ibeabuchi to see him at (or very near) his best.
Truly TERRIFYING power and a chin that a tank would be jealous of, though a limited boxer. Overly reliant on landing his left hook and was very one dimensional in his tactics and approaches. Very dangerous to fight due to the chin and power - he kepy his power all the way through fights so you had to be on the ball every second.

Tua had his moment in the spotlight. He fought Lewis with something tore in his rotator cup. Tua just came around the wrong time, he would have been a lot bigger deal in the 80's before these 6'4+ giants came around. Tua may have hit a little harder than Tyson, it was Tyson's blinding speed that really got a lot of fighters. Not only did Tyson hit hard but he was extremely fast. Tua was fun to watch one of the hardest punchers in the history of boxing just didn't have the skill set to add to his power, no defense, short, bad reach, and no discipline in the gym all contributed to his losses. I got a lot of love for Tua.

Great fighter, but often makes bad choices, he's doing it now even, eying up the klits instead of Haye
