most of those ppvs didint do alot. i watched alot of them too. larios, solis, 3k battery. those numbers are pretty abysmal.

It suppose to be aroiund 3 mil buys and Mays top PPV is 1.4, so how does this amount give him 60%

Another way to look at it is if Floyd fights anyone else, he wont sell 1/2 the PPVs that he will sell with Pac, so a 50/50 split is fair as they will equally bring the same money in THIER fight

How exactly will past figthts influence the amount of people that will tune in for this fight

This is suppose to be the biggest fight ever because Pac is fighting Floyd, not because Floyd is just fighting some other guy
May's top ppv is 2.4 mil bro.

          sigh

          okay here we go again

          Mayweather-

          DLH 2.4 million- multichannel.com
          Hatton 850,000- Boxingscene article
JMM- 1.1 million- ringtv updated according to Schaeffer to 1.1
          Mosley 1.4 million- nypost.com

          5.75 million buys

          Pacquiao

          DLH 1.25 million- krikya360.com
          Hatton 850- sportingnews.com
          Cotto- 1.25- latimes blog
          Clottey- 700k espn.go.com

          4.05 million buys

Mayweather has done 1.42 times the amount of buys Manny has done during the last 4 buys for each man

60/40 would equate to about 1.5 times more for Mayweather than for Manny

unfair IMO but close to the actual # Mayweather actually does more than Manny

59/41 is the closest split wise to what they have both done PPV wise

I also broke down gate a while ago and it seemed to be about even

so weighing that you still have a split that should favor Mayweather

And that proves that Floyd is still the bigger draw.

So what we gather from this is that Floyd has generated far more with far less. Considering all the money involved in creating a fight, making $40m more in four less fights is kinda nuts.

Carrot Top could pull in close to 2 million PPV, if he was opposite ODLH. Emmanuelle Lewis, the kid who played Webster could probably pull in 1.5 if Oscar chose to fight him, maybe even Alf.

Oh yea of course he wont, Mosley/Mayweather was promoted more then any fight in history because it was another big payday. If Floyd was consistantly selling 1.4 PPVs with any opponent, both known and unknown, then 60/40 could be seen as fair. But i highly doubt if he fought Clottey he would have 1 mil buys

Why should Floyd recieve 60 percent of the 3 mil buys if the most he has ever done was 1.4 by himself?
