take the damn test, make floyd and his dad look like morons for accsuing you, make the fans happy, and then maybe be called the greatest fighter of the modern era... it's that easy. just go along with floyd's crap and get the fight on. that's how i see it so i am in disagreement with merchant on this...

I'm with you on that. I'm more of a Mayweather fan than a Pac fan. But if Pac passes every test then whips floyd's a$$, manny will be in the discussion of the greates fighters ever. And have $40 mil to boot.

I could of cared less what he was saying, and his opinion. Cool have one. Im not a fan of Floyd so who cares, but May/Mosley's pre-fight talk with him was just flat out embarrassing. Not only was it pitiful to call someone an artful dodger multiple times, but to completely be wrong about some of his facts made it worse.
lol crybaby mad that someone doesn't like floyd

The only positive thing he says when he is interviewing him is "congratulations" and he says that reluctantly. Merchant is a hater who has no business calling Mayweather's fights. If Pac and Mayweather end up fighting, I hope Max Kellerman is used instead of Merchant.

Listen. Let all personal feelings about either fighter leave your mind, if that is possible. Can you tell me how, in any case, someone asking for drug testing in a sport where your life is on the line, would ever be SO questioned and criticized unless people were BIASED?

Larry Merchant is biased. Alot of people are. There are many reasons, but here is one of them: they simple do not care. They just want the fight soooo bad, like a little kid before Christmas, they just don't want the hype train ruined.

And that makes sense. Consider it. Larry Merchant almost gives off the impression of, "why do you have to be so difficult? why can't you let us have our fun? why can't you just let us enjoy this and act excited about it? why do you have to destroy our illusion?"

So, lets say one guy has a "genuine phobia of needles". Uhm, ok. AND SO WHAT. Your own personal, genuine phobia is irrelevant, no matter who you are- YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE TEST. If a guy has a phobia of blue shirts, should the ref be made to wear a red one because of it? Should everything change because of one person's personal phobias??

It's ludicrous. Something is fishy; all they've done is set Manny up to look like the most impressive fighter ever when he takes the test and proves them wrong. The fact that he wont is SU****IOUS. You just don't want to accept it. the fact that he'd take 6 million instead of 30 million is SU****IOUS. You just can't be honest.

Answer it honestly. If any man alive chose 6 mil instead of 30 mil so he wouldn't have to take a blood test, wouldn't you think it was su****ious? or would you say, "oh, that cat just doesn't like needles". Yeah.

            That sounds really.... believeable.

merchant has a valid point. floyd's perception has always been that the commission testing is not enough so the problem is with the nsac but i've never seen floyd putting the pressure on the commission. obviously he doesn't wanna disappoint the nsac people so he put the demand on pac, who has never failed the commission testing. why he's putting the pressure on pac of course is questionable since he finds the problem is on nsac.

anyways... merchant is right. if floyd has some evidence, then take it to the commission.
No one had any evidence to provide on Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa, Jose Canseco or Alex Rodriguez, but I think every baseball fan would agree that baseball would have been better off if they had been tested for steroids. So this crap about 'he should only be tested if you have evidence proving he is cheating' is total bull**** and nothing more than the words of a hater. If Pac had requested the tests, none of the people criticizing Floyd now would have had a problem with it.

theres a reason why there's boxing commisisons.......there's always risk when youre a fighter.....if you did'nt ***** about it in the past why ***** about it now?......if it was good enough then, why is it not good enough now?....

i love em both but i will will be hoping floyd wins purely because lots of my friends are crazy pacman supporters and i like to go against the grain

that said, if pacman beats floyd i'll be in awe at the greatest fighter of this era like everyone else. bottom line is that if pacman aint on roids (and i would be genuinely amazed if he was) then just bite the bullet and take the test. what is there to for him to lose? who knows what floyd's motivations are? my gut tells me that he really thinks pacman is on roids because of floyd sr's comments... so manny should just prove him wrong. as time goes on pacman is looking worse and worse because on the face of it floyd's request is perfectly reasonable. i dont think manny is scared or on roids but he is being ridiculously stubborn on what amounts to a minor issue. he doesnt deserve it but pacman is looking more like the bad guy to a lot of people as time goes on...
