Is this why Haymon paid Berto step aside money?

Did they see that Mosley could not pull the trigger in training against Berto?

Perhaps thats the reason this fight was made. Add to that all the rumors that Mosley was getting his ass handed to him in sparring.

Give Mayweather another "name" while almost guaranteeing him a victory against an old and shot guy.

Nothing in boxing happens by accident especially when you have someone as opportunistic as Haymon and as careful about who they fight as Mayweather.

Mosley looked EXACTLY like Roy Jones against Hopkins a few weeks ago.

A lot of twitching and feinting and no punches past the 2nd round. A lot of you are overrating this win, but the true lot of you know that wasn't anything near a prime Mosley.

I truly believe a prime Mosley would've finished him in the 2nd.

I know this will be childishly interpreted as a "hate" thread, but I'm being realistic.

Lets look at this for what it was.

I said before the fight that this was a B level fight for this very reason and I stand by that statement.

Honestly Shane fought the fight nervous as hell, and this was before any adjustment etc was made. I mean the guy is a professional fighter and has been begging (according to him) for this fight. Shane has no one to blame but himself.

As far as Mosley....I honestly wanted Pac to face him first because it was just a race to get Mosley's name under their belt. I knew Floyd would wide UD him although I admit I thought it would be 8-4 (which it could have if Shane would have let his hands go more). Honestly Pac would have stopped that version of Shane, which is what I have been saying for the longest.

Shane is not the same fighter IMO, but he fought a b.s. fight last night and made himself look worser that he should have looked. Hatton and Judah didnt fight that way, so you can throw that "Floyd does that to his opponents" excuse out.

YOu might be right though, I wouldn't be surprised if they new somehow Shane couldn't pull the trigger, but If you actually payed attention you could tell his legs and reflexes weren't the same as when he fought Oscar. Again, so many times people get caught up in certain fight ala Margarito fight, that they let it cloud their judgement. Mosley was gonna get exposed by Pac of Floyd and Floyd happened to get him before Manny.

How would Haymon have known that Mosley "couldn't pull the trigger" he pulled the trigger in round 2 by the way.

Haymon would have to be a fortune teller.

Somebody's thinking too hard...no one saw an earthquake coming...

And I think Shane would beat Berto...his defense isn't as up to par with Floyd's and he isn't as versatile in his fight game...

mosley would have ****ed up bero. No way would he have been able to take those rights. Also, on top of that Berto is easy to hit.

Mosley didnt pull the trigger after round 2 becasue Floyd adjusted and Mosley couldnt. Floyd turned into that dragon. Great victory, give the guy credit, i gave him none for JMM but this fight, he deserves it.

Because his fighter Berto was set to fight him.

The same way Roach new De La Hoya couldn't pull the trigger and chose him for Manny for that very reason.

No, Roach watched De la Hoya fight Forbes.
