Why is Andre Ward so overrated?

ward was floored against darnell boone and ran for the remainder of the fight, winning a very close decision
was running against derrick findley to a boring decision with alot of holding and preventing findley from punching(a guy dirrell destroyed and stopped)
i never seen the kenny kost fight, but i doubt he destroyed him like dirrell
he also has pretty much no power, i dont think he has ever gotten a legit KO(kept the guy down for the ten count)

the guy is getting unbelievably overrated because of a win over mikkel kessler, who in all fairness would probabley end up getting more ****ed up against dirrell who opens up cuts on alot of fighters faces with punches(not headbutts)

the sooner you realise dirrell is the future, the more money you will earn in bets

and people that say ward is really experienced and proffesional in his approach with different styles for each opponent dont know what they talkin about, just because he fights like an athletic bhop dont mean he is anywhere near as smart

IMO, Dirrell is the most talented individual in the super 6 tourny. Would be a shame if he didnt make it through, but I got him beating Ward UD.

Wards pretty decent, but I haven't watched enough of his fights yet. He reminded me of Zahir Raheem with some of his moves in the Kessler fight.

Your main criticisms seem to be about his chin and his power.

I think he proved that he can take a punch against Kessler. Even though Ward dominated, he did get caught by a few good shots. You expect Ward to struggle against the elite because a journeyman dropped him, but you don't expect the same of Dirrell, even though he was once dropped by a journeyman as well?

People are rating Ward highly because he dominated the 2nd/3rd best boxer in his division in his last fight.

Dirrell might turn out to be the better fighter, but right now I think Ward's last 2 performances>Dirrell's last 2 performances.

hopkins has probably had more title fights than ward has had proffessional fights, hopkins when he was wards age and experience was less intelligent than ward is right now. ward is very smart for a fighter of his experience, and the things u brought up just show how biased u are.

those early fights are just so the fighter can learn and adapt to the pro game, and lets not forget this is boxing and all it takes is one mistake to get knocked down. its weather or not he got up that u need to look at, if he was dropped like 5 times already that would be one thing, but once? dirrell has been dropped once too, and he ran against curtis stevens. but he won, he got the win and he learnd something from the fight that made him a better fighter.

ward is maybe a bit overrated bcuz of his kessler win, kessler is not that good a fighter which i think was shown again versus froch and i expect it to show even more against green. some ppl say ward beat the toughest guy at 168 but thats not true, so in that sense ward is overrated. but u are clearly biased and have an agenda to talk down on ward even when it makes no sense.

Ward looks good but I think Dirrell is underrated. People say he can't punch, is a ***** and has a weak chin lol. He weren't too scared to mix it up with AA at times and put him on his bum.

im biased for telling the truth? i picked ward to beat kessler, kessler is one-dimensional and easy to beat, i've seen PLENTY of ward fights, and that's how i knew he'd easily dominate mikkell
but the guy is extremely overrated
dirrell got knocked down, ok, but did he run for the remainder of the fight? did he barely squeez out a victory? he won every round except for the round where he was knocked down by a bomb of a overhand right hook and got up easy and continued to dominate
both got knocked down in their seventh fight, it's how they reacted to it that determines who's the more composed, wards freaked and panicked

obviously ward has more ring smarts than hopkins at this point, ward has been to the olympics and is pro

dont be getting all butt hurt, i never said he wasn't a good fighter, but he's nowhere near to dirrell level, believe what you want
