In his whole career, the only boxer floyd has fought who wasn't his size was marquez. Floyd has fought many who were bigger than him including moving up to 154 and taking de la hoya's belt (without weight draining him). How convincingly he beat marquez showed that even if they were the same size, the outcome would have been the same and that floyd would have never struggled or tied with marquez.

Who was the last lineal champion at welterweight??? Floyd. Why hasn't no one claimed the lineal since? Back then, after beating Zab and Bladomir, why would he ruin a chance at fighting de la hoya to fight someone who probably would have had illegal handraps aka Margacheato. Also, back then Paul Williams couldn't give a payday and Cotto would have had a chance with Floyd if he didn't lose to Pac.
