The weird thing about Cotto's right hand is that, while it was never great, it was certainly effective. Watch the Mosley fight and next to his jab, Cotto's right hand was his most effective punch.

Somewhere along the way he just lost it though. Very strange. Hopefully Manny is focusing on bringing it back though. Last time Cotto fought a southpaw while hardly throwing a straight right hand it didn't turn out so well.

I respect Cotto but I don't know if Stewart will be able to teach an old dog new tricks.

I think Cotto needs to get back to controlling fights with the jab and get away from brawling like he has lately. He's a hell of a boxer and he needs to go back to those roots.

I will tell you the real reason why I'm delighted Manny will train Cotto. I'm not sure whether Miguel will improve as a fighter (although I damn hope so) but it shows that Cotto still has the hunger and desire to fight. He has accepted that something needs to change with regards to his corner and wants to improve his skills. Also I'm sure he will be paying Manny a lot more for his services than he paid Santiago which shows he isn't just sticking around to make as much money as he can before retiring. I will refuse to believe Miguel is shot and has nothing left until he loses to someone he really shouldn't do such as Foreman in this upcoming fight. Losing to Pac doesn't make you shot.

I'm happy for Cotto and I always thought he should continue to fight. That dude is not shot what so ever, it's just that we live in an era where fans and the boxing public want to say a person is done because they lose a fight or two.

Good to see Cotto back and even better to see Stewards wearing the mitts. At last Cotto will have proper training and a solid gameplan.

It is great to see Cotto back in the gym with a great trainer. He will get Cotto to go back to the body. For the past couple of fights, Cotto has abandoned the body. Emanuel will bring back the old Cotto..
