As for the "faking," My brother is a Trauma Doctor, and he says if you get knocked out, you have no control over your body (AD put his hand on his face after the hit) even if it was a "late reaction."

Idk about any of you, but if that was still in my mind, I would have done the same to get even with AD (Even though watching the replay several times, the punch wasn't "full power"). As a fan, you dont like seeing these types of things, and the DQ was proper!
But where the F**k was the ref when AD, slipped? Why didnt he step in? It took 3 seconds for the ref to step in.

    Idk, terrible ending
he put his hand on his face rite after he was hit. thin when he fell did you take not of the seizure like movements? also dirrell thought he lost the fight. he kept saying i got ko'd. they had to keep telling him he won the fight. any who saw the fight couldnt think he was faking. also take note of how he hit his head on the canvas when he fell. tell your brother to look at the replay then say if he was faking or not.

True, Abraham lost his "0", true he was clearly behind on score cards, but there was no real knockdown! Direll did not knock him down. Abraham fall on his ass.

I really like Abraham and it was a big disappointment to see him punching an opponent sitting on the floor. He clearly deserves disqualification, deserves the first loss, and *imho* must apologize for doing that.

But can anyone explain me why a boxer being knocked out doesn't fall unconscious to the floor immediately, but first takes a moment of time to think about what to do next, and than raises a glove to the head and lies down softly?! Sorry, but this looks like simulating, like a show, like a way-out. The were still 4 minutes to box. If Direll would stand up, Abraham would probably get one more point deducted, which would make no difference, and the fight would continue. But this way Direll escaped the last 4 minutes, probably the hardest minutes of the fight, where Abraham would do everything to knock him brutally out, as he did with Taylor.

Desperation is the right word. But it's not only Abraham who did desperate things. Abraham at least was not doing any of these dirty tricks, was not using slipping as a way out of troubles, was not making low blows. Direll is a dirty fighter. I hope he and Abraham will have a rematch during the tournament and the rematch would end up in a proper way.

But now we will never know if Direll would have celebrate a brilliant decision win over Abraham, or Abraham celebrate the next KO win. This would be a proper ending everyone wanted to see. This fight is a disappointment.
let me explain. there are ko points on the body that will sit a person down or put them out. aa hit ad on the tip of the jaw the perfect ko point. being hit on that point causes the brain to be shaken and causes the neurotransmitters to mis-fire thus the delayed response to being hit. the confusion you saw from ad was not an act. the man thought he had lost the fight. and ad did not get right up as some clown posted he had to be helped up and was taken to the hospital for observation. looking at him post fight his responses led me to believe he was hurt very bad and i was glad he spent the night in the hospital.

True, what I meant was that people could make a case that he could of said something about AD ducking below the waistline a little, I mean I don't look at it as much of a big deal cause loads of fighters do it, including Floyd (who is my favorite fighter), but its still there I guess and maybe that was why AA did it.

He was way out of line hitting him when he was down though, and AD got the win rightfully.

AA fell down from a punch, he was off balance yeah, but it was the punch that hit him whilst being off balance that knocked him down, so it was a real knockdown.

I must say that this KO reminded me a lot of Montell Griffin vs Roy Jones I. The DQ was justified but I'm not entirely sure if Dirrell was actually knocked out.

I've never seen a delayed reaction KO, then seizure-like movements. This usually happens when the fighter is knocked out cold in an instant. Much like Montell Griffin, Dirrell got hit, complained, and then laid down on the canvas.

However I do not count out the possibility that Dirrell was knocked out legitimately but in that case Abraham must be an even more devastating puncher than I originally thought because the punch was thrown from a position where you shouldn't be able to generate a whole lot of power, although Dirrell was defenseless.

From what I could see, the inexperienced Dirrell seemed to be folding late but Abraham was far too wild and inaccurate with his punches and probably wouldn't have gotten the KO with a performance like that. I hope that both fighters can learn from their mistakes after this fight. Dirrell is fast but his footwork is far from perfect and he relies greatly on spoiling tactics rather than defense and counter-punching although he looked better this time than against Froch. He is largely an unfinished product. Abraham exhibits the same flaws that he always has, but never corrects due to winning. Perhaps he will finally realize that you can't always win by going into a shell and then unleashing a wild but powerful attack in the late rounds.

Despite Dirrell dominating early, it wasn't truly a surprise to me because Abraham starts very slowly and doesn't truly go to work until the last couple of rounds. Rounds 11 & 12 would have been the most important in the fight, the real test for Dirrell, and it was disappointing that we didn't get to see them due to Abraham losing his calm. The referee could have also done a better job and stayed on top of the action.

Lennox Lewis made a career from doing exactly that. Hold out left hand in opponents face/

throw right cross behind left arm so opponent can't see it.

I thought Dirrell beat froch but did so much running & wasn't busy enough & was not surprised by the decision.last night he was well ahead but was starting to get tagged & the knockdown by Abraham was legit & never got counted.the fight was nowhere near done as we have seen Abraham knockout guys late.it's a shame & I don't think he meant to do it but the DQ was the right call.I thought Dirrell was running too much again & I hate his track meet style & he was tagging Abraham low on occasion.I actually kind of laughed because I was iritated by dirrells chicken **** antics.it's a fight not a track meet...he definately wasn't acting either.during the interview with jim gray he thought he lost at first.he was like a got knocked out! Totally on ***** street for sure.I have no idea who is going to win this tourney now.
