I gotta admit he sounded kind of like a primadonna in that interview. He says he's not willing to fight contenders and only wants the big names from now on. It aint gonna work that way. Pac, Floyd, and Mosley don't see any upside to fighting him. Maybe Paul's mind has been swayed by being at the Floyd-Mosley press conference at DC and everybody knew who he was there. But that's close to Georgia. The only way I see him getting those big fights he wants is unifying with Dzinziruk and Martinez.

Totally agree. I know belts "Don't matter" nowadays, but that's only for superstars. A guy like paul would need a belt, preferrably more than one, to get a fight with the superstars. Otherwise, if I'm May, Mosley, or Pac, it's just not worth it.

What do you think about Martinez getting a shot at Pavlik after you tried to make the fight two or three times? I wish him all the best of luck. It's a big fight and he needs to go and do his thing. I can't be mad, if it was me I would be happy for it. May the best man win.

MM: When can we expect to see you in the ring again and who are you going to fight?

PW: It's looking like it's going to be Kermit Cintron on May 8.

MM: What weight are you going to be fighting at, you fought your last two fights at middleweight? Can you still make 147 pounds easily?

PW: If they sign a contract for 147, I can make 147. This fight right here is going to be 154.

MM: If you get past Cintron, who do you want to get in the ring with you or better yet who do you think would be willing to get in the ring with you?

PW: It ain't no if. If it was an fifth, we would be drunk out here. I look at it like, when I get past Cintron, that ain't me being angry or ****y. That's just my confidence level and when I get past Cintron, hopefully we can get one of the big name fighters in there. Maybe the winner of Mayweather/Mosely, Pacquiao or anybody. I just call out names. It's up to my manager, Al, and Dan. I don't think I deserve to fight anyone under my level or somebody up and coming. I done proved myself. You can ask anybody who they want to see fight and they say they want to see Paul fight Mayweather. They want to see Paul fight Pacquiao. They want to see Williams fight Mosely. My name is in the mix.

Good luck getting either 3 guys Paul. You are too much for any of them and they wont fight you. Pavlik/Martinez winner i say, unless Pavlik wins, haha.

Completely agree.

He says he only wants the big names and bitches when they won't fight him. PW would be high risk low reward since PW is not ruler of a division, no belts, and no name.

PW then turns around and does the exact same thing, "nobody knows Dzinziruk and no money" and would refuse to fight that type of fighter cuz their high risk low reward.

Unless he wants to fight and try to beat Martinez and Dzinziruk, get belts and own a division he needs to forget any top guy fighting him except Pavlik (Pavlik's genuine dislike will ensure he'd fight him imo). Noone at 147 will unless he does that.

Paul Williams needs new management. His current management can't get him any fights for ****.

Even if it is Bob Arum, at least PWill will actually get some big name fights. Some PPV action, get the chance to turn himself into a brand or a household name. Hell at least a chance to become a draw.

cotto is a name and is moving up to 154! So why not set ur sights on his azz finally after all the ducking he has been doing of you. its not like he has anything to lose. Whats bigger for cotto after he fights foreman? Tell Al and Dan to set that up on ppv then go from there.

Williams' team did offer Martinez the rematch for good money. I still don't like the way he talked in that interview though.
