Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Routs Clottey, Eyes Mayweather-Mosley Winner

By Jake Donovan - It seemed to take forever to get to, from the terrible undercard to the three separate National Anthems played prior to the extended ringwalks.

Once the opening bell finally rang for the first big boxing even of 2010, Manny Pacquiao tried his hardest to make the evening worthwhile for all.

Unfortunately for Pacquiao, his opponent wasn’t quite as willing to help put on a show.

Throught it all, the reigning pound-for-pound king and three-time Fighter of the Year turned in a virtuoso performance with a lopsided unanimous decision win over former welterweight titlist and current top contender Joshua Clottey. [Click Here To Read More]

Floyd won't stand there like Clottey waiting to get hit.

          surely wont.

eventhough clottey didnt punch, this is the reason why roach doesnt want pac in with defensive fighter. someone lik efloyd who is going to move, defend and go in the offense is going to schoolpac.

i dont see much improvement in pac. yes he's improve against tailor made fighters butnot a defensive fight.

floyd will beat the brakes off that boy

What a waist of money and time. Pac is great. I wish he would leave bob arum. Mayweather is the only fighter out there who can challenge him

clottey should have landed more rather than block even the pac jabs...he was pumpin his face that little.

i have to agree, clottey couldve been more competitive if he wouldve brung the fight to pac but whenever he would land on pac, he would stop at let pac off the hook. pac is a great fighter but can be hit pretty easily. floyd will school him cuz of his defense and accurate punching. wide ud for floyd over pac.

This fight wins "boring fight of the year".Clottey should have upped the workrate.EVERY time he threw,he landed. His uppercuts were good, his lefts were good,etc-...but the guy had a workrate worst than Hopkins.Absolutely no follow-through when he would hit Manny....
I cannot see Manny defeating Floyd on this sort of performance...
