Official Boxers who got better or improved after 25 years old Thread

"You cant be a ordinary fighter at 25 & become extraordinary after that. boxing dont work that way."

    -Floyd Mayweather jr.

So according to the fraud, boxers cant improve once they are 25 or over & that if you are not a great fighter under 25 no way in hell you can get better by the time you are 25 & up. Also, 25 year old pacquiao was just ordinary after beating p4p top 5 marco antonio barerra.

Lets take a look at all the fighters who got better after the age of 25:

    Bernard Hopkins

Didnt hit his prime until what 33-35 years old. One of hopkins most notable win was vs felix trinidad. he was 36 years old. Bernard's loss to roy jones jr? he was 28 years old. So one would come to a conclusion that 39 year old hopkins that ko'd oscar de la hoya is better than 25 year old hopkins that ko'd khaliff shabazz in one round?

    i think so.

    Lets see who else;

36 year old antonio tarver who ko'd roy jones jr. is better than 29 year old tarver who ko'd joaquin garcia.

Nate Campbell. I would say 36 year old nate campbell is better than 28 year old nate who ko'd john trigg.

ahh, lets see juan manuel marquez. 30 year old marquez who tangled with pacquiao at 126 could be described as a better version than the 24 year old marquez who beat cedric mingo. Marquez even found the time to it seems like get better as he got to his mid 30s by taking on pacquiao at 130, being the first to knockout casamayor & beating & also knocking out young juan diaz.

Joe Calzaghe is another one. Lennox Lewis is also another. the 28 year old lewis that ko'd frank bruno is better than the 25 year old that ko'd calvin jones. When lennox lewis started working with emmanuel steward one would reckon he got even better. The emmanuel steward trained lewis was much more technical, polished, confident, defensive, & overall tougher to hit than the lennox in his 20s. 34 year old lennox who got robbed vs evander was much better than the under 30 lennox.

Those are just the fighters off the top of my head that got better as they got older. Hell, let me ask you this question, who is the better, polished, experienced, complete, confident floyd? 24 year old who ko'd corrales or the 28 year old floyd who beat gatti?

Maybe Pacquiao is just different. Maybe all these other guys could improve as they get older except pacquiao. I didnt post any asian fighters who got better so probably asian fighters cant get better as they get older.

Im pretty sure if we dig deeper throughout boxing history that we will find more examples just like the boxingscene history thread that uncovered all those fighters who moved up though more weight classes & packed on more pounds than pacquiao.

            Pac is different,

he actually poses a credible threat to Floyd. The speed, punching power and combos scare the **** out of him. Those you mentioned don't, for various reasons.

                Every fighter starts out ordinary.

Thats why it takes years and years to get to be an elite fighter.

you see ***** logic dictates that as soon as floyd was born he was already a polished all time great. floyd is so great that he skips the beginner, young prospect, contender, champion status & goes all the way straight to legendary status.
