    Margarito: “Arum assured me a fight with Manny Pacquiao in November”

    According to Dan Antuna of Tijuana newspaper Frontera, Antonio Margarito confirmed his next bout for May 8th in Aguascalientes, MX. After his bid to fight on the March 13th fight card in Dallas, TX, was not solidfied, the “Tijuana Tornado” will still face Carson Jones at the yearly state fair held in that Mexican city.

    “The fight in May is confirmed directly from Bob Arum of Top Rank. He also assured me a fight with Manny Pacquiao in November,” Margarito stated.

    He also mentioned that he would not be appearing at a hearing to solicit his license from the California State Atlethic Commission.

    “Arum recommended me not to go, he said that I complied with teh sanction and they should give me the lincense without attending and audience,” he explained.

    Margarito has been training at the Azteca Gym and the Mojac Gym, both in Tijuana.

    More proof they have zero intention of fighting Shane or Floyd!!!!!!!

        So they don't plan on reentering negotiations with the Mayweather possibly Mosley camp .

        We might have to start crumbling crackers for this duck.

            Floyd just ducked Pacquiao twice. By saying Pac will not get a 50-50 based on PPV sales was proclaiming that Floyd didn't want the fight.

            It's time for Pac to move on and fight all the Welterweights in a span of 1-2 years which Floyd ducked all of them for 5 years.

                Except Mexican fans.

                Considering Pacquiao has made his name by beating Morales, Barrera and Marquez, you'd think he'd be counting on Mexican fans to make him some more $.

                  It's all about Bob Arum's pockets.Manny-Mayweather will not happen because Arum will not share money with anyone else.The only problem is that Manny doesnt get to maximise his earnings,most money comes from fighting Mayweather unfortunately.WHat Arum will continue to do is pairing his own fighters.Forget Valero fighting Bradley because it wont happen.

                  The only good thing about Margarito-Pacquiao is 2 cheats can pummel each other to extinction and no one will feel any pain.

                    Cheato brings too much negative baggage, probably more than
                    the Mexican viewership can make up for. The Dallas template
                    is the right way --use him as an undercard, without putting him
                    in the ring with Pacquiao.

                    Pac has to fight Mosley or Mayweather.
                    Failing that, I'd rather he fight other welters than the Tijuana Turd.
