Comments Thread For: Hatley Goes The Distance with Brashears, Texas Commish

Between the unexpected snowstorm affecting all major events in the Dallas area, a pissing match with the Texas Boxing Commission and being extended the distance for the first time in his young career, last week turned out to be one to forget for unbeaten middleweight Charles Hatley. Wow, thanks for shedding some light on this.

The Texas Commission always seems to have something shady going on. Right down to ****ie's son Laurence Cole always getting to ref the big fights in the state.

Dinosaurs! Out with the old regime and get some fresh blood into the TDLR.

This is borderline a criminal act. The commission's role is to regulate combative sports and also as a state agency to help earn revenue for the state. They are essentially preventing free enterprise and limiting the ability of promotional en****** to engage their audience and increase their marketshare, which in turn generates more events, more opportunities for athletes to earn wages, and more tax money and fees for the state government and its citizens.

        Wtf?!?

First off. Whoever wrote this crap about hatley should be put on a wall and stoned!! I say that because if you believe that hatley beat me that bad, then why didn't & couldn't he knock me out? He didn't knock me down on the cool. My guard was up and i was lower than he was. When he threw a punch i was knocked off balance. My glove touched the canvas and they counted it as a knock down. Which is fine. I'm not making any excuses. He flat out beat me. But to say that he threw shots like roy jones, are to even mention his name in the same sentence as roy jones goes to show how much you know about boxing! Hateley is a good fighter. But does he have world champion ability? Hell no! The way you say that he did me and i still went the whole 8 rounds strongly backs my opinion up about him. He does not have any power. He caught me with 1 shot out of everything he threw that dazed me a little. But that was all. And i'm a natural light welter weight! And the fight was last minute notice so i hadn't been training! So what does that say about 'the future'? So until you know what the heck your talking about, put your pen down and stop riding his nuts & get your facts str-8!! Because all that praising that you gave him that night on how he did me really makes him look bad because he couldn't stop a 36 year old light welter!!! Bam!
