Too bad I couldn't land a bet on this fight to win some e-points. Hopefully Abraham comes through for me just like Valero did.

I think Arum won't be as protective of Valero as he is with some of his fighters after seeing how awesome he was tonight you would think. Valero has everything to gain by getting fights with the likes of Bradley, Khan, and JMM. Funeka and Katsidis are good fighters. But I think Valero beats them and they don't bring big money like those other guys do. Hell, Valero even said in the past he wants big fights and even though his resume didn't really warrant it, how can you blame him. He needs to cash in while he can and maybe move up to 140.

          yes he is the beast!!!
but just imagine if he had a defense
as a complete fighter he could become the greatest
but we need to stay calm, he still got to face the top lightweights
the australian guy [can't spell his name], joan guzman, joel casamayor, and juan diaz
after he gets them, then he will surely be the king.
Marquez isn't there because he isn't going to go back to lightweight
          he will stay in jw.

now I'm just waiting for the haterz [lol]
they will come with the same thing over again
            I still remember them saying
"DeMarco is a A class fighter he will knock this bum out"
I'm sure they will say demarco wasn't ready, and that valero only fight amateurs
but after tonight, the criticism of valero only being a brawler is over
he showed hearth and that he can outbox his opponents
            hail to the king !!!
Edwin "The King of KnockOut Kings" Valero

Demarco didn't even have that hunger while in the dressing room warming up, before his face was hitting them left hands ..

I would love to see Valero fight Timothy Bradley, so he can knock that ****er out and show him that he is overrated..Once Timothy Bradley gets hit by Valero, he wouldn't know what hit him...Valero's left hand must have been reconstructed to steel, after his motorcycle accident..unbelievable KNOCKOUT ratio...Would love to see this guy fight on PPV.

Pac doesn't fight boxers that are ascending or are considered to be in their prime, therefore we will never know.

After the Marquez fight Team Pacquiao looks for fighters that fit these prerequisites:
                  1) have been KO'd at least once in one of three previous fights (Cotto & Hatton)
                  2) are old and past their prime (DLH)
                  3) are the lowest rated title holder (D Diaz)
                  4) are weight drained (DLH)
                  5) can get them to fight at catchweight (Cotto)
                  6) have lost the majority of title fights (Clottley).
                  7) fighter is in a descending trajectory

If he can get more than one of the requirements the better the prospect in Team Pacquiao's ananlysis.

Valero does not meet any the Team Pacquiao prerequisites, therefore he will not be offerred a fight with Pacquiao ant time soon.

This guy is earning his place in the HoF and in the boxing history as potentially one of the biggest smallest punchers of all times...

                    Well done, Valero!

Valero really impressed me during this fight. The man is a beast with tremendous heart. He had that huge gash on his head from an elbow in the first round that many fighters would try to get their fights stopped and kept fighting hard. He didnt let the cut on the eye lid bother him either. He outworked his opponent the whole fight and didnt seem like he was going to slow down. Valero showed a lot more skill in this fight then I thought he had. He will be a tough fight for anyone.
