    Oscar "Chicken"? De La Hoya

“Eso yo lo comparó con cuando Tito Trinidad le dio como cinco oportunidades a (Oscar) de la Hoya para pelear. Calderón está usando el nombre de Dieppa para coger pon”, dijo el manejador de Dieppa.

This quote in Spanish by Dieppa's trainer in regards to a fight between Dieppa vs Ivan Calderon it translates to "I compare this to when Tito Trinidad offered a rematch to DHL like five times.." I am tired of hearing my fellow boxing fans how superior DLH is, specially how he beat Tito and that it was Tito who avoided rematch. What I remember is that Papa Trinidad offered a rematch immediately after the fight and DLH avoiding it. That's why I placed a question mark on the title. Did DLH avoided a rematch or was it Tito's camp.

I've been thinking about creating a post about De La Hoya also. But more about how he lacks the heart and determination it takes to be a real boxer. I mean he's so damn worried about his clothing line, music, television appearances, and promoting that he has no time for boxing PLUS he sold out and got KTFO by Hopkins.

Truthfully, I don't like De La Hoya, I personally think he's a *****, BUT I do see that he is helping many rural areas and the Latino up and comers by signing them to Golden Boy and I'm all for the Latino Community as a whole. But as a boxer I have no respect for him, you need heart to be a boxer and he sold his a long time ago...

DLH is the king of avoidance. he avoided barrera from fighting pac, for the second time. no wonder he'll do it for his own career

Lmao. Do you PM eachother everytime you start a thread about PR fighters, or how "Trinidad is better than every mexican fighter who ever lived?".

The difference IMO is that Tito was willing to do a rematch against Hopkins and still would like to fight Hopkins. Hopkins proved superior to Tito that night and therefore, why Tito wants to fight him and why Hopkins avoids it. Then, this thread is about DLH-Tito. Hopkins-Tito-DLH would provide for several pages on a new thread.

That's funny because when DLH fought Tito he kicked his ass thoroughly for the first 8 rounds!! Tito was confused!! Say what you want about the last four rounds, Oscar still won the first 8 rounds. That decision was a robbery. Based on Tito's suprised reaction after the winning announcement I'd say he probably thought he lost too!
