Can someone explain this to me, cos I can't for the ***ing life of me work out why.
Firstly, Paulie has been doing alot of the ****-stirring around the whole steroids issue. So Team Pacquaio are walking away from one fighter who has made the steroid allegation issue a huge deal to.....another one?
Also, let's face it - Paulie vs Pac isn't going to be competitive. Yes yes, I understand style makes fights and Pac has fought alot of come-forward fighters, but....a massively declining Hatton walked all over Paulie......does anyone seriously think Pac is going to be manipulated by Paulie's jab, like Diaz was?
Pac is at the stage in his career where it's all about legacy - what the hell does Paulie do in that respect? It is nothing more than a glorified tune-up. Even if Arum wants a gimme fight, I can think of better options than a fighter who doesn't throw punches with even an ounce of bad intentions.
Not to mention that as other people have said, Paulie was conclusively beaten by the last two people Pacquaio has KOd.
This fight makes no ***ing sense to me, unless Pac basically wants to give Paulie a beat-down for his comments.
What exactly IS Arum thinking? Am I missing something?
