The Main Problem with Puertorican Boxers is

that we have no trainers or great boxing coachs around here!!!!!!

all our fighters suffers from the same disease.....

    Trinidad
    Cotto
    Juanma Lopez
    Daniel Santos
    ivan calderon

and the list can go on and on and on..... none of them ever had and ELITE CORNER.... all the same bunch of groupies that saw them grew up.. and that cant teach them nothing new.....

Its a shame that with all the advantage that we have here we havent been able to produce not EVEN one GOOD ELITE TRAINER...... or maybe there's one.. and is just that I DONT KNOW HIM......

joe santiagos performance last saturdays is the latest example, but we can say the same about trinidad sr, evangelista cotto, bonilla, freddie trinidad, cheche sanchez.. and all of them...

they suck!!! they are good to prepare our fighters to make it to the top here in the island... after that....

    we got to do something!!!!!

Personally, I don't think there's anything that Cotto could have done to change the outcome of the fight but for the sake of your argument, what do you suggest they do?

wassup cuatemoc.... I know... cotto just got beat by a better man...

but in PR we dont have trainers.. like for example

                nacho
                roach
                stewart

the kind of trainers that come to a fight with some HOMEWORK DONE.. some game plans good game plans... not just double your jab ****..... in round one... cotto was dominant.. but in the 2nd...puff.. there u go.. roach just come to his fighter and bring him down to earth to make him impose their fight plans....

.. all of our trainers just rely on the skills and powers of our boxers....
thats what I ment.. not because of last saturday results.. but because... of the history....

                  I don't think I'd agree with that.

PR have had a lot of elite boxers. Maybe some of them had flaws in terms of skill/technique, but Calderon developed great skills in PR.

There are lots of boxers who have been great despite never working with a great trainer.

calderon... has natural skills and habillities....

but cheche.. hasnt teach him nothing new... I have seen the same calderon.... since day one....

he have won everything with his natural skills and fight.. not because he was developed here... as a matter of fact...

he even turn pro late in his 28 if im not mistaken..
