Look all these Floyd fans treating the Marquez win as a "tune up".

Funny how opinions change with certain agendas.

yeah, it was, simply because he did to JMM what no one has before. Won every single round.

It was a solid comeback fight to set up something bigger and better, and it made promotional sense to fight the guy who gave Pac serious trouble twice.

Marquez was an excellent win for Floyd, Marquez was looking bigger and bigger in his last few fights so the size difference wasn't THAT much, this is the same Marquez who is about to campaign at 140 pounds, fighters grow and he made the 144 pound limit for the Mayweather fight with no problem, he actually felt better because now he could eat more and worry more about gaining weight rather than losing it, Marquez was chisled too it ain't like he came in looking all fat he was in tip top shape he just couldn't catch Floyd..

I hate it when people discredit this win as if worse **** hasn't happened in the past with other fights who moved up, other guys move up and win yo and if EVER there was a time to beat Floyd it would have been on that night because he was rusty, but wait a minute he's SO good even after 2 years away from Boxing he still had no rust, he was sharp and precise and literally TOYED with someone who even at 154 would give Pacquiao hell. just because a fighter starts in 126-130 in his career and had his best days there doesn't mean he should be confined to that weight because fighters grow, if that was the case then we should hold that same regard for Mayweather who started out at 130-135 himself..

Marquez didn't even weight 144, he weighed in at 142. On fight night his stomach was nearly hanging over his trunks, and the guy was completely ineffective. The precision and reflexes Marquez usually shows were completely absent.

Thinking he was fine and Mayweather was just that good is so completely incorrect that there's no way anyone actually believes it.
