The moment when young lion Cotto was gone.

Miguel Cotto is my second favorite fighter after Manny Pacquio but before it was all Cotto for me and I can remember like heppening right now the moment when I feel the young lion Cotto started losing his identity but more than that his first sight of mortality to the point now that Im sure he is no longer in his prime.

back to the Mosley fight at the moment that Max Kellerman said "This is unbelievable, the ultimate pressure fighter in the sport going backwards" at that moment it was Mosley chasing Cotto but Cotto still counterpointing masterfully and at the end got the razon SD.

I remember feeling butterflies in my stomach because something told that wasnt right and that wasnt the Cotto I knew because I knew a Cotto coming forward and destroying people. I was fearing also he getting ko'd by Mosley.

There is not question that he is a more polished fighter now but all this battles that we have enjoyed I think has taking a toll on him.

Coming Nov. 14 he has the glorious opportunity to probe us wrong and show that there is more Mighel for a good time.

Good post. I have the same nagging fear. Hopefully we will see that old Cotto again.

Max Kellerman is an idiot. He never watch early Cotto fights were all he did was box and counter punch. He started to put pressure on his opponents half way true his 140 tenure were that was the way to go because his body, power and weight was his advantage over the rest of 140 fighters.

Cotto does more than one thing. He is not just a pressure fighter and Kellerman downplayed Cotto's win that whole fight saying Cotto "was fighting a great fight but was not destroying Mosley." Is not like Mosley was destroyed ever in his career before that or even after that.

the ts obviously did not watch the lovemore ndou fight which occured 3 years before the mosley fight and in that fight cotto was backing up for the last few rounds much like in the mosley fight and in his next fight he destroyed kelson pinto what people dont seem to understand is your opponent and his style of fighting will affect how you fight and how you look when you fight him. if cotto had chosen to fight ricky hatton and oscar instead of clottey and margs he would be on top of the sport right now with no questions about if he was in decline or not

I was impressed with how hard it was for Cotto to be stopped against Margarito who landed some good bombs on Cotto, and Cotto was still quite composed and doing well under pressure before succumbing.
