Why is it that the only organisation that actually enforces their mandatories has the absolute shittiest mandatories?

It's like they do it on purpose just to be annoying.

He should just dump the belt...I've never even heard of this mandatory ffs. IBF is always punishing their champions for taking tough fights.

Bivol fights Beterbiev next, even without any belt on the line.

Benavidez should fight that Eifert guy. Winners fight.

waste of time Eifert is a no name and no competition. he would stop him in 3-4 rounds without gaining experience or credit

IBF always comes up with these bums as mandatory. How does Eifert became number 1 he absolutely beat nobody not even one top 15 guy on his record but yet a loss. The guy he fights if the belt gets vacant just had a 8 round fight and now gets a shot at a world title. These sanctioning bodies keep shooting themselves in the foot. They either start working together and have realistic rankings and legit mandatories or the TKO clowns can really take over.

WBC lets an almost 50 year old multiple years retired unranked fighter fight for belt.
WBA ranks a youtuber who had 1 legit fight and lost the fight and the fighter he lost is probably not even top 100
IBF constantly comes up with bums ass mandatory that are not even close to be C level fighters.

I know it's been discussed as nauseum but I believe the IBF rankings are always incredibly bad because of their strict requirements for fighters to remain ranked and the fact that no WBA or WBC titlist can be ranked in the IBF (nor can the title challengers of these belts be ranked). IBF-ranked fighters have to fight other ranked fighters in their top-15 every 18 months.

So, their no-name ranked fighters fight each other and go up in the IBF rankings. It's how Pascal vs Eifert becomes an eliminator fight.
