Plant was never anything special. Incredibly thin resume - really just famous for losing to Canelo and Benavidez.

The best name on his resume is Anthony Dirrell, who was a C+ boxer and was already a million years old when Plant KO'd him.

There are still some major flaws with his style. He can’t throw an overhand right to save his life. He throws what looks like a straight right, not even a right cross. It has zero power on it and lands like a jab. It literally looks like the horse stance punch taught in Karate and TKD. He carries his hands too low particularly his left and he was timed all night with the overhand right.

But, he still has made it to the upper echelons of the current smw class. And that's a lot to be said at any time.

So he gets a lot of hate for whatever people think they see and dont like in him, but he only lost to champs until now.
