After benn gets handed his azz by eubank....he will claim size and go back to 147. Thats where Spence will get his money in one of Eddies "greatest fights to be made in years".

Good for Errol Spence, Jr. Obviously he no longer has fight in him no more.
That accident, brutal beating he took from Crawford, lack of ring activity and also coupled with his fast life has clearly aged him.
He has abused his body enough He has nothing left to prove. I just hope that he retires with both his faculties, honor and dignity intact.

Garry Jonas's friend Scampson at his finest.
But he just wanted to stay "loyal" to his master Haymon.
Bravo!

If Spence has enough money saved from the Crawford fight, he can retire.
Why fight on, he took a lot of damage in that particular bout. I hope he does not have slurred speech, but if he checked out okay in MRI's, that's a blessing.
I guess it's not like the old days, when they had a hundred or two hundred fights, although much of those were also not all top opponents, of course.
But we forget, even great boxers have taken damage. Some argue whether it was from boxing, what happened to Ali, but it can reasonably presumed there was some damage. Thomas Hearns, Meldrick Taylor and Terry Norris, to mention a few, have suffered after effects.
Obviously not forgetting a real warrior who suffered and suffers to this day, Gerald McLellan.

All of the months and months waiting for Earl when anyone with half a brain cell could have told you that Earl is likely never fighting again. Jermell is only coming back because the Canelo money ran out.
Because he's sat on two titles for so long and because he's too much of a coward to fight at a more appropriate weight, I hope Fundora gets knocked out cold in his next fight. Again. It would be poetic justice and karma.El_Mero likes this.

Bradley, Ward, Porter, RJJ all basically come forward boxers like Spence and all retired or were washed by 35..
Given all Spence has been through physically, then throw the fact that he doesn't have a true trainer at this juncture in his career all signs point to retirement being the best thing for him..No need to get sparked like RJJ, The assault he took from Bud was enough..
At the end of the day Spence was fighting at 147lbs all those years for a reason, and not a good one. He can't handle solid skillful 154lbers. Spence couldn't beat Madrimov rn an he's not a big 154lber..
