I assure they are real numbers and not nonsense to anyone that knows boxing, has boxed, has trained fighters etc etc, the divisions sound better oh he went up 3 weight classes which is 17 pounds but the real weight says Manny went up 4 pounds, quite a difference which is why when looking at the merit and how fans like to pump the tyres up of their favorite fighters 17 pounds is total BS and thats why your idea is nonsense because it totally ignores the real numbers.
Weight classes exist to break up the divisions across the weight scale of humans, everybody gets a go, the 30 hr weighin and rehydration totally changes what it means, because so much weight is lost and found in water, the way fanboys go on about divisions and ignore fight night weight is so ignorant to the fight itself, even same day weighins were in the morning they still rehydrated a lot of weight although not as much as they do today because of having 30hrs.
