If Loma really does decide to call it quits then I can not blame him. I believe that Haney fight must’ve really broken him.
We all saw how he was tearing up in the dressing room After, those scorecards were announced. That must’ve really been heartbreaking. That loss visibly hurt him.
Now, he probably feels that no matter how hard he trains. or how well he boxes. Unless he knocks out one of these American fighters then the judges will always try to deny him.
I personally thought that it was a close fight which could have gone either way. However, I can still rationalize the official scorecards.
What both he and his handlers didn’t know that in most cases. Whenever there is a tie or a stalemate. The judges are going to almost always give the fight to the champion.
I am not saying it is right or fair, it’s just the way it is, One must be willing to take risks and defeat the champion decisively in order to win the title.
However, Loma just did not do that. Which is why at least to the official judges he lost the fight. It seems that Loma held back a lot in that fight.
It was like he was fighting not to lose rather than to win.
