Comments Thread For: Fighting Words: PBC's first non-PPV date is hopefully, finally, a sign of more to come

Premier Boxing Champions' upcoming broadcast on October 19 will feature Bakhram Murtazaliev defending his junior middleweight title vs. Tim Tszyu. The most important news isn't the "who," however, but rather the "where" - the show will stream for subscribers to Amazon's Prime Video service, rather than on pay-per-view

PBC has become a joke. The Amazon deal was announced almost a YEAR ago and they've had exactly THREE events, all garbage PPVs. And now they want to blame it on Papa Al stepping away for a family emergency????? LOL

Edit: Let that sink in for a second. Over 200 fighters on their roster, and they have had THREE shows this year.

Unfortunately you are absolutely correct. Most of these 200 fighters have basically withered a few years off their careers with inactivity. Not sure how these PBC contracts are written, if these fighters get “paychecks “ monthly, quarterly, etc to pay their bills. I would think a lot of them can just go a year or eighteen months without some income.

They'll come back eventually begging for fights in their 40s, you'll see. And the paycheck would not even be enough to pay for training expenses. It would be a very steep downhill from there on till they wither away.

They stole all those fighters from De La Hoya to make them inactive. They went from Showtime to NOtime. PBC Pure Boxing Crap.

That answer would be yes. H is the preeminent foremost leader in his industry with a successful track record that dates back 40 years. He gets nothing but praise, respect and adulation for his peers. Something that your boy Hearn will never receive in the Estados Unidos. But let's be honest, that is what really triggers you isn't it???? hahahaha
