Not super familiar with McCumby and not a lot of tape on him out there. What little I saw wasn't all that impressive. Has a high work rate and power, but leaves himself open perfectly for someone like Caleb. In fact, IIRC, he was dropped during one of his highlight reel moments on YouTube. He looks OKAY against cans is the best I can say. Problem is a lot of this footage is when he was 18/19 years old. He seems like a neutral kid excited for an opportunity. I've heard he was popped once but hope he's learned his lesson.

Not a great fight on paper but I enjoy watching Plant and McCumby is kind of unknown so anything can happen. It'll be more exciting than Canelo vs Berlanga, I'd wager.

McCumby's best win was probably his most recent against Chris Pearson (who's been beaten by guys like Gongora and DeLoach). Most of his resume is against very limited opposition.

From what I've seen, he throws alot of wide punches and leaves himself open for counters. I'm not a fan of Plant but I think he will have a good enough sense of timing and distance to light McCumby up.

Just saw the picture and McCumby looks like a clown. Looks like he's trying to do his best Colby Covington impression.

I've been doing some research on this McCumby kid (real rabbit hole stuff on this dude), and I have reason to believe Plant is going to lose this fight. Perhaps badly.

If he really appears to be what I've dug up on him, he's all wrong for Caleb. Might be a good idea to keep an eye on those odds as the fight gets closer.
