A good boss figures out how to make the highest amount of money with the lowest amount of effort. That definitely isn’t Canelo: if he’d just fight Benavidez or Crawford, he’d make in one night what it will take him 3 fights to make against guys like Berlanga, Munguia, Ryder, etc. He’d have that money without putting his body through needless fights, training camps and sparring seasons -and totally maximize his bank account in an extremely short amount of time. Instead Canelo’s ego seems to be caught up in the thrill of seeing how long he can keep fighting in trash fights and milking gullible fans and desperate broadcasters.

And his fanboys are his stockholders. Paying him $100 out of their own pockets each fight even though he never stops anyone anymore, he never fights challenging fights and he basically rubs it in the stockholders face that he doesn't care what they think, and that he knows they will buy anything he does. How can his fans respect being treated like that?

It has turned into the most bizarre fighter-fan relationship ever. Incredibly strange.

Canelo has had a really impressive career. But yes, even Saudi are not going to pay at fighter a $150M.

Well maybe he should start bankrolling his own fights from now on then because what he is doing to Al Haymon is both shameful and disgraceful.

How the Hell can you allow a fighter to fight on one of your platforms, lift one of your belts off your fighter without getting any future options on him?

That business model has been outdated a long time ago.To me it seems that the PBC may be on their way out of business.

They can’t even afford to stream non- pay per view cards anymore because they are overpaying Alvarez for all these non competitive fights.

It’s rediculous of Dana’s protest of Canelo fighting on the same date as UFC when boxing events have always been held on Mexican Independence Day.I find it funny when the entire MMA community says boxing is a “dying sport “

You are wrong in this case. Canelo did not delay his fight. The fight was delayed by John Skipper, the then CEO of DAZN, who was promptly fired for that maladroit move by Len Blavatnik the billionaire owner of access industries which, in turn, owns DAZN. In fact, Canelo was more than ticked off by the delay and made that known to DAZN..

I am pretty sure Canelo knows the Saudis are not going to pay him or anyone else $150 million for a fight with Crawford, or Benavidez for that matter. He was making a different point.

He shouldn’t. Boxing fans he really arnt the ufc fans who are made up of geeky little suburbanite nerds who rant about “street fights” from mama’s basements

Canelo does bankroll his own fights. Don't assume Al Haymon is an idiot. Why would he bankroll Canelo or anyone else? That is not how it works. Canelo's fights generate revenue to pay all the costs associated with putting on the fight and profits for PBC, co-promoters, the undercard -- all of it.

"he never stops anyone anymore" First of all that is not true on its face. Second, the sport is called boxing, not rockem sockem robots. It is the sweet science of hitting and not getting hit. Only casuals confuse the two.
