Comments Thread For: Sebastian Fundora's promoter: 'The age is starting to hit (Terence Crawford)'

New unified junior-middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora is doing anything but avoiding new four-division champion Terence Crawford following Crawford's Saturday night World Boxing Association victory over Israil Madrimov. "It is clear that Crawford is not the same as he was," Fundora promoter Sampson Lewkowicz told BoxingScene Sunday morning following the bout that the 36-year-old Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) won by claiming the final two rounds on all three judges' scorecards.

I don think it's the age or layoff, more that Madrimov is pretty good, and Crawford is not as great as touted after the Spence win.

He's still a fantastic, cerebral boxer, don't get me wrong. But for those who suggested that Bud could beat a prime Mayweather, well, no.

The likes of Leonard, Hearns and Whitaker were higher level.

He's still one of the best though.

T-Bud was overrated following the Errol win

because his career best performance came against his greatest opponent to date. Stylistic nightmare for Errol

coupled with Israil having a stylistic edge over T.

$ May 10-2 T-Bud after seeing all of those str8 shots down the pipe Israil landed last night. Israil did a lot of sht that Floyd can do except Floyd does it better

T-Bud a one fight a year fighter. I don’t think his wear & tear is that bad

he can fight till 38 imo

So taking a page out of Mayweather’s playbook , will Fundora grow a pair and face Bud
We all know he chose Spence and not Bud
Uncle Al will be in shambles if the title goes out of PBC

Right now I'd pick him over Ennis, Ortiz, Tszyu but I think we'll see him visibly slipping before long. Crawford will be 37 next month. No fighter is in their prime at that age, even with improved nutrition etc.

            November PPV slot is open

let see if T-Bud snatches it

Big Boss Saudi is determined to make Alvarez-T and doesn’t want to upset the Apple cart

a loss between now and then for either would cause the superfight to sell less

It's actually all of those, just in varying degrees

inactivity + age + new weight class + solid opponent

one of the saddest things about Bud's career is that his signature win came at 35
