Great move for him! Top Rank knows how to build Mexican fighters better than any firm on the planet, and they will actually promote him, actually get him paid, and given the new partnership, they will actually be able to offer crowd pleasing fights. Leaving GB will be the turning point of his career.

Weird. Top Rank has a pretty shallow stable at 168. TR co-promotes Christian Mbilli but Mbilli already has a fight lined up with Derevyanchenko in mid August and wouldn't be ready until winter 24 at the earliest and I think PBC and Matchroom have the other 168'ers on their side.

Great sign and acquisition by Top Rank. Jaime Munguia has always been an action-packed crowd pleasing fighter. He is very fun to watch. He is hardly ever in dull fight. He is a very exciting fighter.

Excellent signing by TopRank. Should get the young Mexican length of exposure to American fans on ESPN

Bazinyan sucks, but it's fine as a come back opponent after an L and as an opening appearance with a new promoter. Hopefully TR can make some big fights for Munguia after that. Golden Boy's roster is getting really thin...

              This could be interesting.

Best matchmakers on the planet should get him good and ready for 175 down the line.

Where are all the 1,083 post laughing at the demise of GB and how Munguia leaving signals the beginning of the end for GBP and how they don't have any fighters and Oscar is a loser and all that jazz? Where is it? Do we just do that for PBC???

I heard the rumor about Munguia/Bazinyan a couple weeks ago. But now with Munguia going to TR, it makes perfect sense. TR has a good working relationship with Eye of the Tiger, which co-promotes Mbilli and Bazinyan. That's another reason why Team Bazinyan chose Munguia over Pacheco.

Say what you will, but Golden Boy did a great job promoting Munguia, turning an average fighter into a star, and making him rich.
