The Pac-May fight was a disgrace on all levels. TMT had zero biz taking the lead on a fight of this magnitude. I had to fly in to Vegas to pick up my $7500 ticket personally, and wasn't allowed to do it until the day before the fight, bc they weren't set up to mitigate fraud on resales. The weigh in was more exciting than the fight. Sold my ticket at the last minute for about a $1500 loss, and I didn't regret it bc seeing that fight in person for another $6k would've really pi$$ed me off. Pac with his BS shoulder nonsense and pathetic effort, and May, scared to lose, being chastised by his own daddy for running instead of getting the emphatic KO that was there for the taking. Horrible.

Pacquiao couldn’t do a thing with Floyd. It’s a shame Floyd didn’t push for more in that fight.

Pacquiao couldn't do a thing is an overstatement. What did even Floyd do in that fight that was so great? Pacquiao had the best punches of the fight (I'm sure no one can argue this lol). Floyd fans are delusional and will change narrative as usual.

Both fighters didn't do well and it was just enough for Floyd to win (Too many close rounds in the fight because both fighters were too inactive).

It sucks the fight came too late. Imagine only getting Duran vs Leonard III and Hearns vs Leonard II, without the classic first fights. That was exactly Floyd vs Manny. Two old men fighting. And we all knew (or at least outside of boxingscene) who caused the delay. Not even going to bother discussing it with delusional Floyd fanboys here.

This list also helps to make one realize that there was a time when the best fought the best, no matter what. Floyd, with his "money first" mentality helped to change that and create an obsession with a perfect record. Guys in the golden age of the game (Robinson, Leonard, lamotta, Hagler etc etc) didn't care about being undefeated...they simply wanted to fight and challenge themselves against the best. We've fallen a long way as a sport, the way I see it.

I didn't see Pacquiao v Morales I on the list? That card had two FOTY candidates back-to-back. Co-main was Jorge Arce-Hussein Hussein which was a classic bloodbath. Most of the arena was filled for those two fights so the energy just built and built. I have to add Arce-Hussein as an honorable mention . Pac-Morales I should be on the list

Anyway, I have many great memories in Vegas and at the MGM Grand - my Dad got me started with boxing events in Vegas. We'd pay like $150-200 for pretty good seats - and then later on, he be able to get free tickets a lot just by walking around the MGM walkway toward the entrance, Back in the day, Sam Watson would often be handing out tickets if you went up and talked to him - we just recognized him as that boxing guy so we would just say whatsup, ask him about the fights and just talk boxing. Then he'd ask "hey you want to go to the fight?" and we'd say hell yea ...... you could buy them cheap from some of the fighters' teams. I have a little set of stubs my Dad gave me from some of these classics.

and then when I got old enough I madethe outsi alot of road trips with different groups of friends over the years, I always wanted to share how exciting being around fight nights are. Even if it was only the Closed Circuit viewing. It all helped me to convert a good amount of people into fans.

But being around and seeing all the familiar boxing characters is still fun. I met and saw a lot of great fighters in the MGM casino and lobby - it's always a pilgrimage for me and always will be as long as they're hosting fights.

Tank v Martin - do us right for the 100th fight!!
