I too felt like the corner was not prepared. I got roasted on another post suggesting it. That tiny q-tip is the only thing they had, no large swab or gauze. The wood shaft of the q-tip was being compressed into the wound with the towel. Who knows if the bleeding could be stopped, probably not. But they didn’t have the right tools or technique.

This loss falls directly on Tim’s team because they didn’t stop the fight before round 5 began. Unwise but not only was it ppv, it was PBC’s DEBUT on prime. Run it back again this time without the price tag.. they should be pushing for viewership not buys:

It was a freak injury, for sure. It's unfortunate that Tszyu's cut man couldn't get the bleeding to stop at all. I've seen some bad cuts in fights, but usually, the cut man can slow or even stop the bleeding, until it gets hit again. Since this cut was on the top of Tim's head, if the bleeding could have been stopped, it's unlikely that he would have been hit there to open it up again.

Tim Tszyu’s corner ( his coach and cutman) are 100% responsible for his loss. The cutman isn’t capable of stopping a paper cut. His uncle had to stop the fight before the 4th round was official. Regardless of the coach being his uncle, he and the cutman have to go. There is no excuse for their incompetence.

I watched the fight. Everybody is a cut man right now. Hind sight is always 20/20. I actually thought the fight would be stopped as well. But only after the corner felt Tszyu was up on points (he was), and it would go to the scorecards. Then he’d get the cheesy win. They could’ve stopped it earlier and gotten a “no contest” and been given a rematch, the easy way out. They wanted to win. Getting it stopped early was a “business decision.” I feel that THE ONLY reason that his corner didn’t stop that fight was because they felt Tszyu was winning or was going to win! Nothing else makes sense. They listened to their fighter. He was giving a good accounting of himself in there and then some. He ultimately lost by split decision thus making the decision not to stop it early look bad. They could’ve EASILY walked out of there with a No Contest, or a scorecard win. I understand why they didn’t.

he was maybe up on the your card but after 4 it would have been a draw and after 5 he was down on 2 cards.

Anyway, why do I keep hearing about this Stitch guy? He seems unhinged.
