Even tho Gvodzyk is probably past his best days, this is a really interesting matchup. Been time for Benavidez to move up in weight, moreso that his chances with Canelo look dimmer by the day. Curious to see what Benavidez looks like not having to kill himself to make 168 and against a notable LHW.
Utterly ridiculous. Why move up? Go fight Morrell or Mbill or Munguia. Or even Charlo.
Don't the WBC realise how dumb they look.
Come on Turki save the game
Pretty sure he struggles to make 168 so he was hanging around just for the Canelo fight.
If true - the fact that Canelo DECLINED $55 million to fight - well how would you take that? Personally I'd take it that I'm never getting the fight? So that said there's a need to reset an re-focus career trajectory- LHW for a good payday an intermediate belt which should mean a mandatory and a winnable fight - that sounds like a plan.
But .... the big story hear is CANELO TURNED DOWN $55MILLION to fight Bena?
Gvozdyk weakness is a pressure fighter who has pop and Bena is that and more. I don’t see Gvozdyk having enough firepower to keep Bena off of him. Bena by attempted murder round 11. Book it.

There is no path to the belts at 168 so those fights are pointless. Benavidez is looking for greatness not just pad a record. Gvozdyk is a young 36, not many fights, that is the average age for Canelos biggest wins so shouldn't complain about age.
