Edit: seeing the angles it was borderline
. That said, had it been a knockdown and Usyk had seen a count, he likely would have gotten up. He was playing it up.

Dubois sucks. He said he was going to rough him up and take it to him, he looked like a scared fighter for much of the fight. He didn't get hurt by those last punches, he quit because he was totally gassed.

I'm going to go ahead and say that a 6'7 260 pound guy that boxes ten times better than Dubois, has an incredibly high ring IQ, and a ******ed punch resistace....as well as being the only guy to stop Wilder.....yeah, he will **** Usyk up.

if you watch the actual video and see the trajectory of Dubois hand , when it actually lands on Usyk, it was on the belt line
Watched the video caught the frames as best I can and I see it borderline that could legit have been called either way. Ain't about to waste my time back and forthing with it. Much as I respect Usyk I would have been just as happy to see Dubois get his hand raised.

It's pretty funny how Fury's suspected Achilles heel might actually be Usyk's weakness.

As long as Fury still has his head movement I think he will actually dominate the fight.

When fighters get hit low, the reaction is that huge exhale - same as Usyk. Look at his face, his lips form a huge "o" immediately. No crying, no screaming.

His shorts are low, and the punch came from below, so there's high likelihood it at least grazed his cup/balls. And being grazed by Dubois is probably not very pleasant.
YES!!! Very well said. And for liver shots? there is a drop, like when someone gets shot, a slight delay where the body shocks before reacting to the onslaught of pain coming next, they are all distinct reactions... And this reaction is a clue.

Was in two minds but it's low enough for me. I wouldn't have been desperately mad if it'd been called a legit shot but I think it's also reasonable to call it low within the rules.
Yeah...look at the mid-glove. That's low for sure...it was a good call by the ref. Good post Kob...great pic.

You are the first blind boxing fan I've ever come across, did your guide dog tell you it wasn't a low blow lol?

I'm fine with it being called a low blow, but it certainly didn't look like a nut shot warranting 5 minutes rest.

Either way it proved what a lot of people have said, that Usyk can't really take it to the body, because it definitely wasn't a shot low enough to be in the balls...

Some were definitely low (listen to Malinaggi's comments during the fight), but not all. This said, Dubois' shot was on the belt and legal, as were his other body shots.
