Comments Thread For: Paul Butler Offers No Excuses, Gives High Praise To Naoya Inoue

Former world champion Paul Butler has given high praise to Naoya Inoue. The two boxers collided on Tuesday night in Japan, with Inoue battering Butler for an eleventh round knockout to become the undisputed world champion at bantamweight - with the WBC, IBF, WBA, WBO world titles coming together.

Pathetic showing from Butler looked like when he hit the deck he was eager to stay there, even though it was blatantly obvious he could get up, don't know how he has the audacity to down play Inoue in any which way.

Ignorant in his defence ? Not suggesting Inoue has hte best defence, but he stuck his chin out and put his arms behind his back and Butler still couldn't hit him. i suspect if someone is throwing more than pillows (and not missing so much) Inoue will tighten up a tad.

You lost to a generational talent. No shame.

Butler had more chance learning to speak fluent Japanese than winning this fight, The monster would do well employing butler as a regular sparing partner, I think he'd learn a thing or two.

Did you want him to trade and get knocked out sooner to satisfy internet mouth breathers?

Butler looked like a very skilled, intelligent fighter that was overcome by the bigger, harder punching fighter.

You're rétarded, I wanted him to fight like he intends to win not like a shíthouse looking to survive is the biggest fight of his life and quitting as soon as he gets the opportunity.

You need to stop responding to me in general you're too thick to comprehend what's being said almost every time.

The “Monster” is a true champion, but he has to fight the elite to become elite, until that happens, it’s the media’s high favor that keeps that “monster” title on him. If it was some other champ, fighting a Butler class fighter, he’d be torn apart by the medía.
