So what I am getting is Crawford knew he was going to try to sneak in a tune up fight a while ago, and stalled and pulled this move. And is now trying to throw anything at the wall to pass blame.

These guys are overpaid, simple as that. The business of boxing has all but destroyed the sport of boxing. We see it all the time; it's why a guy like Tank still hasn't fought anybody; why you've got Benavidez, Charlo and Andrade all avoiding each other and at the same time begging for a Canelo fight; why Tyson Fury is fighting Derek f**king Chisora of all people, again. We can blame the fighters (and we should), but if I was Terence Crawford and I could make $10m fighting Avanesyan I'd fight him four more times next year.

I echo the same sentiments as many in here when I say that although nothing will ever replace boxing as my favourite sport, UFC/MMA s**ts all over it these days. It's what boxing should be. Another great card coming up this weekend full of interesting match-ups, fifty-fifty fights and the best fighting the best. When was the last time boxing put on a single card like that? I suppose it was the all-female cards we've had recently, and what's the common denominator there? Female boxers are not (yet) overpaid. Funny how that works, isn't it?

It's hard to blame T.C. for taking a $10million offer, but he should have fought Spence. Even for short money. I think Spence is an easy fight for him. Regardless, these two better fight soon, before one of them loses. Then, they will both lose out on a lot of money.

Crawford has to accept reality - He doesn't have any bargaining power without Arum. And the obvious and abrupt alternative fight announcement kinda shows he wasn't all in on fighting Spence. The natural progression is "All right, I can't make the fight happen" now I'll start looking for another option - NOT have another option already ready to go as you negotiate with Spence.

Sad ..... Now I gotta wait longer to see Spence take that WBO belt.

Avanesyan ducked Vergil Ortiz who is Terence Crawford's # 1 contender.

But that didn't matter, now Avanesyan got to jump in line ahead of Ortiz for a title shot.

Yes three Tyson Fury fights and a fourth one is on the horizon pending his final WBC eliminator against Andy Ruiz. After or before that he expressed a wish to fight either Usyk and Joshua next.
