Where's Israel Vasquez? I mean he was shelved for health reasons but I still think he belongs in the top 10 instead of Chad Dawson. I also think Paul Williams is on the cusp but let's see first what happens against Pavlik. If he beats Pavlik like I think he will, he should in the 5 to 7 range then...

      JMM dropped too far!

i still think they have paul williams too high on this list. not that he aint an awsome fighter who's reach & height make him a handfull for any fighter but he just hasnt been challenged enough. other than margarito & quintana who else has this guy fought? i mean, were talking about the best P4P list here & hes just under hopkins? i think we need let time pass & see how he does against the better middle weights to see where he really ranks on this list. & i can also make a case on Miguel Cotto but since im a cotto fan im not going to. just keep in mind he beat fair & square the #3 on this list & was beating handly for 6 rounds the opponent(margarito) mosley beat that many give him such a high rank on this list. Maybe if things would have been fair in that fight the outcome could have been very much the same than was mosley's against margo. But my question to all since suddenly marquez was finally drop one lower than cotto where i thought he belonged even before his loss to mayweather, where will Cotto rank on this list if he beats Pacman? i mean its a question that knowone has even considered...i'll say it now if he beats Pacman in any way, KO or decision he should be at #2 under money. pacman will then move down to #7 just one over marquez...knowones considering this but we might be looking at a Cotto/Mayweather showdown in 2010

The ring ****zine rankings are ridiculous, B.S. rankings are all out of wack. I usually agree with crold but hasegawa shouldnt be there, pwill & dawson are wayyyy too high.
BEST list I've seen so far!!!......the list here and MANY MANY others are lookin' weird!!

i totally agree with u paul williams is ranked to high & vazquez should be on the list. paul just hasnt had enough big fights to be so high on this list. aside from margarito & quintana what other big names has he faced? lets see how he does against top jr. middleweights first before we start jumping the gun. yes hes an awsome fighter, but most his advantage against other fighters is mainly his speed & reach & that hes so avoided by other fighters. he reminds me a little of tommy hearns but without the power. time will tell if hes the real deal or not, but its not like the jr. middleweights is so loaded either,so lets just see.

Several bad calls this time by the normally solid Cliff Rold.

The most controversial is obviously Mayweather. I'd like to hear Cliff's reasoning as to having him rated above SSM and Cotto who are guys rated above him at 147.

Another thing regarding Mayweather is that how can a previously unrated welterweight rise to number 2 p4p by beating a fat lightweight?

To me it looks as if Cliff has fallen in the trap of couldas, wouldas and shouldas regarding Mayweather instead of looking at what he actually HAS done.

                  3-Hopkins
                  4-Mosley
                  5-Cotto (after nov.14th he moves to #2)
                  6-Marquez
                  7-Vazquez
8-Williams (hasnt had the opportunities of more big name fights yet)
                  9-Dawson
                  10-Calderon
(The Bubble)Juanma Lopez (should be on this list after he KO's Caballero in 2010)

Well it was a nice listing... but putting PFB in the Top 2 spot without fighting the legitimate WW Champs & Contenders...

JMM will be move down and Mosley should move up together with Cotto.

Here is my list of P4P Ranking

                    1. Manny Pacquiao
                    2. Sugar Shane Mosely
                    3. Bernard Hopkins
                    4. Miguel Cotto
                    5. Floyd Mayweathe Jr.
                    6. Chad Dawson
                    7. Paul Williams
                    8. Juan Manuel Marquez
                    9. Israel Vasquez
                    10. Nonito Donaire

I dont give a damn credit of Gayweather by beating JMM inside 12 rounds...
I would only impress if he able to send JMM a tough fighter to dreamland by way of KO in 5 rounds.

at above 140lbs limit Pacman will totally destroy JMM if ever they will fight again. a brutal KO inside 5rounds.

Boxingscenes list is always biased towards Americans, it's not even worth looking at.
