yes, I think it's a topic not discussed enough- the aforementioned sense of entitlement... and it mostly comes through over Floyd. the critics obviously have a sense of how he fights by now; who is forcing them to keep shelling out the money to watch his fights, when their reaction is already pre-ordained? whats funny is that, I pay my money gladly, and i feel 'entitled' to at least hear what the champ has to say; but when we don't get that, noone speaks out about it. i won't get on a soapbox though...

to a degree, yeah- you pay for a card, you are entitled to see some boxing. if you are familiar with a boxer's style, as Mayweather-critics apparently are, then why keep tuning in? Floyd's performance was damned impressive .. (as was Juans..). why does he "owe" something else? especially to people whose minds are made up?

      MB,

      I like you.

But you bring up a topic, and then I make a valid counter point, citing examples. Your response? "i don't give a ****".

      Sigh.

Fine, jabs. You can call me a stan. For the 1,000th time.

I'm not sure what you think goading me is going to accomplish. But if it makes you feel like a big man, have at it. I don't entertain keyboard warriors.

This is a forum. Civility, please.

Totally crap article written by someone who obviously can't get his tongue any further up Floyd's ass than it already is.

Mosley deserves a fight. End of story.
He deserves to be banned from boxing for taking roids.

What's particularly comical is to see Bernard Hopkins - who fought three consecutive smaller men - involve himself in the fracas on saturday night.
Both Winky and Pavlik moved up two divisions to face Bernard At 170, Winky needed a push-up bra.

I can't imagine what the backlash would have been if Mayweather interfered with another fighter's victory interview. The words 'stan', 'nuthugger', 'ballwasher' etc are thrown around a lot on here. So when you, as a fan, don't hold your fighter to the standard of behaviour that you expect from others, what does that make you?

As you know, AlHaymon, Floyd is not held to the same standards as other fighters... whether it be from fans, or the commentators at HBO, or the Ring ****zine 'journalists'... it's as if theres some subliminal thing going on, because he is considered the 'best', they feel it's 'balanced' or 'fair' to constantly hold him to different standards, as if that levels the field a bit. I have never understood it, whether it's jealousy, frustration, or what. If Floyd answers a question directed towards him honestly, he is criticized. If Shane confronts Floyd, moments after Floyd has just fought for 12 rounds, and has B-Hop "backing him up" (!!!), theres nothing wrong with that. After all, it's against Floyd, so it's "fair", right?

Floyd is in a no win situation no matter who he fights.
Anybody who he fights can be discredited unless they beat the **** out of floyd and floyd barley wins...

People just want too see Floyd lose or barley win. PERIOD

                    Like I said before

                    1. People Complaining about Size Are Clueless and just want to make excuses.

                    2. People who want to act like this is the first time a little guy has fought a big guy just expose themselves to criticism that they dont know boxing history.
                    1. People act Like Sugar ray Robinson never fought henry armstrong.
                    2. People act Like SRL never foguht duran
                    3. People act Like Hagler never fought SRL
                    4. People act Like Joe Louis never Fought Billy Conn
                    5. People act Like Bernard Hopkins never Fought de la hoya
                    6. People act Like Aaron Pryor never fought Alexis Arguello

Do you guys know any history?

Oh my bad you guys are so called "HARDCORE" boxing fansBut yet dont know any of boxing's History.

                    Like I posted Before

I mean Floyd is always in a no win situation. I dont blame floyd for taking the mic from MAX I would be snapping too If I had boxing skills that was superior and was always overshadowed by fighters with half the skill or fighters who liked to take endless amounts of punishment just to please the fans.

Why bleed and cut it you don't have too?

I don't blame Floyd for not wanting to be punch drunk.

Could you imagine someone like MJ dumbing down his skill level to make a bball game closer so people can see a more competitive game

or Jerry Rice purposely dropping passes so football fans can see how he struggles under pressure.

Alot of "so-called" boxing fans are always trying to force Floyd and other fighters that practice the sweet science to abandon their defense n put there chin in the air for there enjoyment.

Athletes being asked to be less athletic, never thought I'd see the day.

AS FOR MOSLEY **** HIM !!!

I really hope AND PRAY FLOYD brushes Mosley off like Mosley did to him.

Mosley can say whatever he wants to the mainstream public but true boxing fans know what it is; he is at the end of his career and he needs Mayweather to make the kind of payday he has craved his entire career only problem is where was Mosley when Mayweather and himself were young and Floyd wanted that same chance?

But now its ok to call a guy out and spread lies to the public and tell which bits and pieces of the truth that you feel necessary to make a fight happen.
